Read our student newspaper,  Around the Bend – a monthly publication which allows students to develop and publish their writing skills. Each issue contains national and world news, school news, editorials and articles from contributing (student) writers.

Volunteer Student Staff

Willow Bend Academy has no formal Journalism class, but with adult oversight, the volunteer editorial staff and writers consistently produce excellent material.

All students may submit articles

We invite all students  to contribute to the paper.  Contributions include a variety of subject matter ranging from personal views of important matters to creative works of poetry, photography and other media.

Some of our student staff come from other countries and use Around the Bend to improve their overall English proficiency.  This publication gives them opportunity to express their views from a different cultural perspective.
