When my son was 16 he was struggling with social and academic problems in public school.  He was falling behind and not on a path to graduating. 

I started searching for an alternative to his current school when a colleague mentioned Willow Bend Academy.  I enrolled him and he made up his missed work and graduated only 2 months behind schedule. 

What got him through high school at Willow Bend was the caring, committed Christian based teachers and curriculum.  Because the teachers worked with him one on one and were always aware of what he was doing, they were able to stay on top of him and help him to accomplish goals that together they would set every week. 

He was no longer a kid in the back of the classroom of 32  left to his own devices. 

All the faculty took an active role in his overall success throughout his time at Willow Bend.  As he looks back now, he is so grateful for Willow Bend helping him to get his high school diploma and build his Christian faith.  After he graduated, he was accepted to Dallas Christian College.

Willow Bend Academy is a fantastic school. I have been attending for a while now, and it is a family-like atmosphere where the teachers really care and are there for all students. They care about individuality, and have students set goals to reach while keeping a positive environment for working. They have the most dedicated teachers I have ever met, and it is a excellent place to be. I am glad that I decided to attend this school.

I have been a teacher at Willow Bend Academy for the past 11 years and I can honestly say that every teacher has a heart for every student to be successful, both academically and personally. We are unique in that we meet the needs of so many students whose needs cannot be met in a regular classroom setting. We care about each student and want them to feel they are learning and making progress every day. I have loved watching students grow and mature during their time at Willow Bend Academy. I think it is one of the best private schools in the area.

It’s a privilege to endorse Willow Bend Academy! Our daughter has attended WB since the middle of her sophomore year. She came to WB discouraged and overwhelmed with school and life in general. We live in a large public school district where she got lost in the shuffle. Her ADD made learning in a traditional environment very difficult. She came home from her first day at WB with a renewed hope and confidence. The love and support she received from her teacher and WB staff put wind in her sails to achieve her potential.

Over the years, the caring and highly qualified teachers and staff have gone above and beyond to serve our daughter and family. The individualized attention helped our daughter navigate through some tough challenges. Today, our daughter is graduated and moving on toward her college goals. We attribute our daughter’s educational success and motivation to WB. In her words,

Hi Mrs. Hayes!

I hope this email finds you well!  We leave today for Kenya (again) but I need for the most recent transcript for Harrison to be mailed to us please. ______ High School (where we have decided he will go) needs to see the updated transcript (including the English and Physics he completed this summer).  I want to say thank you again for everything you have done for us.  We recently had a not so good experience with the principal at ______, and it really caused me to stop and reflect a bit on you.  You meet those kids where they are, guide them and nurture them and embrace their mistakes, using them for the good.  As an imperfect parent of imperfect children, I truly appreciate you.
