We are blessed when alums return
It is highly rewarding when alumni return and share their stories. Mahsa recently returned to update us on her activities and future plans. Mahsa had a difficult time in middle school due to constant ridicule over her weight. After transferring to other schools the ridicule continued, so her family decided to withdraw her during her 8th grade year. What a blessing it was for both her and for Willow Bend Academy! Mahsa completed middle school and all of high school in less than three years and was her class valedictorian. Upon graduation from Willow Bend Academy, she enrolled at University of Texas at Dallas and completed a bachelor’s degree, then entered graduate school at Harvard University where she is currently a clinical research assistant at Harvard Medical Center for Primary Care, Boston Childrens Hospital. She was named Innovation Programs Scholar by Harvard University in 2013 and 2014. Mahsa has recently decided to become a medical doctor and plans to enter University of Texas Southwestern Medical school in the fall of 2015.
